Gita Ghiasi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation (SEDTI) at the University of Ottawa. Her research examines how science, technology, and innovation systems shape society, with a particular focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and the societal impacts of emerging technologies. Using large-scale analyses of publications, patents, funding, and policy data, she investigates participation, recognition, and benefit distribution within research and innovation systems. Her work combines bibliometrics, science and technology policy, innovation studies, and data analytics to support more inclusive and socially responsible innovation.
